Licensed Journeyman Electrician (Solar & Electrical Construction) Renewable Energy Partners, Inc. - 4.0 Minneapolis, MN Job Details Full-time $32 - $50 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Federal construction safety regulations Outdoor work experience Occupational Safety And Health Administration Outreach Training Program 30-Hour Driver's License Journeyman Electrician Master Electrician Energy storage systems Local electrical codes Full Job Description Licensed Journeyman Electrician (Solar & Electrical Construction) Renewable Energy Partners (REP) is seeking a highly skilled, safety-focused Minnesota Licensed Journeyman Electrician to support the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and service of commercial, industrial, municipal, and institutional solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and associated electrical infrastructure throughout Minnesota. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Solar Installation & Construction Install AC and DC electrical systems associated with commercial and utility-scale solar projects. Install solar PV modules, racking systems, inverters, combiner boxes, disconnects, transformers, switchgear, monitoring equipment, and energy storage components. Read and interpret construction drawings, electrical one-lines, site plans, specifications, and engineering documents. Electrical Construction Install and maintain switchboards, distribution panels, motor control centers, transformers, disconnect switches, service equipment, metering systems, and monitoring systems. Testing & Commissioning Conduct startup, commissioning, utility witness testing, and final inspections. Perform voltage, continuity, insulation resistance, and polarity testing. Operations & Maintenance Diagnose electrical failures and perform corrective maintenance. Respond to service calls and warranty issues. Safety Responsibilities Maintain compliance with OSHA standards, Minnesota electrical regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, fall protection requirements, and company safety policies. Leadership Responsibilities Supervise and mentor apprentices and registered unlicensed electricians. Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, utilities, and trade partners. Required Qualifications Current Minnesota Journeyworker Electrician License in good standing. Valid driver's license. Minimum 4 years of commercial electrical experience. Solar PV installation experience preferred. Working knowledge of NEC, Minnesota Electrical Code, OSHA requirements, and utility interconnection standards. Preferred Qualifications
NABCEP PV
Installation Professional Certification. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
BESS, EV
charging, and medium-voltage experience. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to work at heights and outdoors in Minnesota weather conditions. Ability to travel throughout Minnesota. Compliance Requirements Minnesota DLI electrical licensing requirements. NEC Articles 250, 690, 705, and 706.
