Job Description
Job Summary An electric and gas utility is hiring a Contractor Services Supervisor to oversee vendor-based transmission-related electric and civil construction crews. This role is responsible for managing contractor performance, safety, quality, schedules, and budgets while ensuring work is completed in accordance with applicable contracts, agreements, and safety requirements. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day oversight and management of contractor crews supporting transmission-related electric and civil construction and maintenance work. Ensure contractor field supervision enforces applicable policies, practices, and safety rules. Provide input into project planning and design activities. Manage and evaluate contractor crews engaged in construction, maintenance, and inspection of the electric system. Establish and communicate clear expectations for contractor performance, including safety and quality standards, through observations and audits. Maintain regular communication with contractor supervisory personnel to assess manpower, equipment, tools, and material needs. Schedule, assign, and manage contractor work in a safe, efficient, and effective manner in accordance with contracts and agreements. Monitor and control project budgets and schedules to ensure proper resource allocation and timely project completion. Develop and maintain cost tracking documentation and construction schedules. Document project scope changes and provide project updates to the project team. Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, external stakeholders, and internal departments. Enforce safety rules and conduct safety observations with individuals and crews. Enforce corporate policies with contractor crews as required. Contribute to department and functional goals and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost control.
