Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Underground Lineman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in high voltage and low voltage electrical work, with a strong understanding of utility locating and construction site operations. As a Lineperson, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical lines while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to read blueprints effectively. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair high voltage and low voltage electrical lines. Perform utility locating to ensure safe digging practices. Read and interpret blueprints to determine installation specifications. Utilize voltmeters and other electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot issues. Climb poles or structures to access electrical lines safely. Work on construction sites, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local regulations. Requirements Proven experience in high voltage and low voltage electrical work. Ability to climb poles or structures as required for line installation and maintenance. Familiarity with utility locating techniques. Knowledge of NEC standards and regulations related to electrical installations. Proficiency in using voltmeters and other electrical testing tools. Strong blueprint reading skills to interpret technical drawings accurately. Experience working on construction sites is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
