This role involves managing a team of skilled plumbers, ensuring that all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality plumbing solutions on time and within budget. As a key leader on the job site, you will coordinate daily operations, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure safety standards are maintained throughout every phase of construction. Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of plumbers and apprentices, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient workflow on construction sites. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute plumbing installations accurately. Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems including pipe threading, gas piping systems, and water supply lines in accordance with local building codes. Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery to complete plumbing tasks safely and effectively. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet project timelines and resolve technical or logistical issues promptly. Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems for maintenance needs or repairs during construction or post-completion phases. Requirements Proven construction experience with a focus on commercial plumbing projects. Strong knowledge of plumbing building codes, local regulations, schematics, and construction plans. Skilled in pipe installation, pipe threading, gas piping systems, and plumbing system maintenance and repair. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, HVAC components, and other mechanical devices safely. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately to guide installation processes. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively in fast-paced construction environments. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites including OSHA standards; ability to enforce safety protocols consistently. Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations required in plumbing work. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity; experience with field service operations is beneficial.
