In this vital role, you will coordinate daily operations on-site, manage teams of skilled workers, ensure adherence to safety regulations, and maintain project schedules. Your expertise in construction management, blueprint reading, and crew supervision will drive project success while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale commercial construction projects, utilizing cutting-edge construction management software and industry best practices. Responsibilities Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship on site. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to guide team activities and verify compliance with project specifications. Coordinate construction schedules using Primavera P6 or other project management tools to meet deadlines and stay within budget. Oversee safety protocols in accordance with OSHA and federal construction safety regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services aligned with project timelines. Review construction drawings for accuracy, resolve technical issues promptly, and facilitate communication between design teams and field personnel. Monitor project progress through site inspections, quality control checks, and documentation of work performed; address any deviations immediately. Maintain detailed records of daily activities, safety incidents, change orders, and project documentation using construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam. Enforce strict adherence to construction regulations while managing budgets effectively through cost tracking and resource allocation. Supervise the use of specialized tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing when required on site. Experience Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management roles with a strong background in supervising teams on active sites. Extensive knowledge of construction safety standards including OSHA regulations and federal safety protocols. Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications accurately. Proficiency with construction scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera P3; experience with Construction Management platforms like ProCore or Bluebeam is highly desirable. Strong understanding of contracts, budgeting processes, and project scheduling techniques to ensure timely project delivery within financial constraints. Hands-on experience with managing complex projects involving pipeline installation or other large-scale infrastructure work preferred. Excellent managerial communication skills for coordinating teams effectively while maintaining a positive work environment. Prior experience supervising crews in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality control and safety compliance is essential. Knowledge of heavyBid or similar estimating software is a plus for managing cost estimates efficiently.
