Feldkamp Mechanical Position Summary Feldkamp Mechanical is seeking an experienced and motivated Foreman Plumber to lead plumbing crews on commercial and industrial construction projects in the Columbus, Ohio area. The Foreman Plumber is responsible for overseeing daily jobsite activities, coordinating manpower and materials, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining project schedules, and enforcing safety standards. The ideal candidate is a skilled plumbing professional with strong leadership abilities, extensive experience in commercial and industrial plumbing systems, and a commitment to delivering projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision Supervise and lead plumbing crews on commercial and industrial construction projects. Plan and coordinate daily work assignments to maximize productivity. Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and journeyman plumbers. Coordinate activities with project managers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades. Monitor employee performance and promote a positive team environment. Installation & Construction Oversee the installation of domestic water, sanitary waste, storm drainage, natural gas, compressed air, and specialty piping systems. Review blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure proper installation. Coordinate plumbing layouts and field measurements. Ensure all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes. Assist crews with complex installations and troubleshooting as needed. Project Management Monitor project schedules and manpower requirements. Coordinate delivery of materials, equipment, and tools. Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping records, and jobsite documentation. Identify and communicate potential project issues to management. Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. Safety & Compliance Enforce OSHA, company, and jobsite safety requirements. Conduct jobsite safety meetings and toolbox talks. Ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite. Ensure all plumbing installations comply with local, state, and national plumbing codes. Qualifications Required Ohio Journeyman Plumber License or equivalent experience. Minimum of 7 years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience. Minimum of 3 years of leadership or foreman experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents. Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, piping methods, and industry standards. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. OSHA 10 Certification required. Preferred OSHA 30 Certification or willingness to obtain. Experience overseeing large-scale commercial and industrial construction projects. Experience with medical gas, process piping, and mechanical room installations. Proficiency with construction scheduling and project coordination. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds or more. Work from ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated platforms. Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in confined spaces. Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
