Job Description

360 Broadband is a rapidly growing wireless and fiber internet service provider delivering high-speed broadband solutions to cities and rural communities across Texas and Oklahoma. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field Service Supervisor to lead our installation and repair teams supporting wireless installations, fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) deployments, and service operations across our service footprint. Position Summary The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of field technicians performing the installation, repair, and maintenance of wireless and fiber optic infrastructure for residential and business customers. This role includes leading and developing a team of technicians, coordinating workflow and schedules, ensuring quality and safety standards are met on every job, and serving as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues in the field. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep technical background in telecommunications, and the ability to work both in the field and in a supervisory capacity in varying outdoor conditions. Key Responsibilities Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Telecommunications Installation & Repair Technicians Plan, assign, and oversee daily work schedules to ensure efficient completion of wireless and fiber installations and service calls Conduct field inspections and quality assurance checks on completed installations, including fiber splicing, microduct placement, and wireless equipment setup Provide hands-on technical guidance and serve as the escalation point for complex troubleshooting, splicing, and repair issues Ensure proper use and maintenance of light construction equipment (vibratory plows, mini skid steers) and equipment trailers Verify proper burial depth, placement of fiber/microduct, and restoration of customer property meet company standards Monitor team performance metrics, including productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction Train new and existing technicians on installation procedures, fiber splicing, OTDR and power meter use, and safe equipment operation Enforce OSHA guidelines, company safety standards, and local utility regulations across all field operations Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations as needed Review and approve technician documentation of installations, service calls, and field modifications Coordinate with dispatch, operations, and engineering teams to resolve service disruptions and field escalations Identify recurring field issues and recommend process, training, or equipment improvements Manage on-call rotation scheduling and respond to after-hours escalations as needed Represent 360 Broadband professionally with customers, property owners, and local jurisdictions Travel within the company service area as required to support crews and job sites Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or technical certification preferred 3+ years of experience in telecommunications, fiber optic installation, or wireless systems, including hands-on fiber splicing experience 1+ years of supervisory or lead technician experience preferred Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle check Proficiency with fiber splicing and testing equipment (OTDR, power meters) Experience operating construction equipment (vibratory plows, mini skid steers) and safely towing equipment trailers Strong working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and underground utility placement practices Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team-building skills Strong troubleshooting, mechanical aptitude, and decision-making abilities Excellent communication skills with customers, employees, and cross-functional teams Proficient with mobile devices, ticketing systems, and basic Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and on-call schedules as needed Why Join 360 Broadband?
