Position Overview The Project Lead & Field Supervisor serves as a primary point of contact for clients, managing job scheduling, resource planning, and field staff supervision. Operating as a hands-on working foreman, this role combines operational leadership and customer relations with direct technical execution on-site to ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Duties & Responsibilities Field Execution & Technical Leadership Work directly on-site alongside field staff to execute technical work, maintain productivity, and set quality standards. Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation tasks as required by the job scope. Ensure all field work complies with industry safety regulations, company standards, and client specifications. Mentor and train field technicians on best practices, safety procedures, and technical skills. Operations & Scheduling Plan and organize daily, weekly, and project-based job schedules for field staff. Evaluate job site requirements, scope of work, labor needs, and necessary materials or specialized tools. Coordinate material procurement, staging, and equipment readiness prior to project rollout. Adapt schedules dynamically to accommodate emergency service calls, scope changes, or unforeseen delays. Supervision & Safety Supervise, guide, and direct field crews to ensure efficient workflow and accountability. Delegate tasks based on crew member skill levels and monitor daily progress on site. Conduct regular safety toolboxes and job hazard analyses (JHAs), ensuring team adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards. Provide constructive feedback and contribute to performance evaluations for field staff. Client Interface & Communication Serve as the primary, professional liaison between the customer, field crew, and management. Conduct initial job walkthroughs, discuss project timelines with clients, and manage customer expectations. Address client concerns promptly on-site and resolve technical or scheduling issues professionally. Review completed work with clients to obtain sign-offs, answer technical questions, and ensure complete customer satisfaction. Reporting & Administrative Support Complete detailed work orders, field reports, time tracking, and material usage documentation accurately and on time. Review change orders or additional scope requests on site and communicate cost/schedule impacts to management and clients. Maintain care, inventory, and maintenance schedules for company vehicles, tools, and field equipment.

Required Qualifications & Skills Qualifications & Experience Hydraulic Experience:

Minimum of 6 years of hands-on hydraulic experience required.

Operations/Shop Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a manufacturing or shop operations role strongly preferred.

Certifications:

Six Sigma certification is strongly preferred; APICS certification is desirable.

Licensure:

Valid driver's license required. Core Competencies & Capabilities Demonstrated success in driving operational efficiency and cost reduction. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work Environment Time is split between an office environment, a noisy shop environment, and client site visits. May involve extensive travel within the designated service area. Position is often 50 hours a week or more. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, stoop, reach, and sit for prolonged periods. Strong auditory and verbal communication abilities. Depth perception, color vision, and visual acuity across varying distances and angles. Exceptional hand-eye coordination. Ability to regularly lift up to 70 pounds.

Pay:
