Structure Installation Log Cabin Fence Co. | Amity, PA Log Cabin Fence is looking for an experienced construction foreman / crew leader to join our team. $28-$35/hour depending on experience We are not looking for someone who wants to stand back and supervise. This is a hands-on working foreman position for someone who knows construction, is comfortable operating equipment, can lead a crew, and takes pride in getting a job done correctly. Our projects aren't limited to fence. Our crews install agricultural, commercial, and industrial fencing along with large fabric-covered structures throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. What You'll Do As a Construction Foreman, you'll work alongside your crew while taking responsibility for the jobsite from start to finish.
You'll:
Lead and work alongside a construction crew Lay out jobs and develop an efficient plan for completing the work Operate skid steers, mini skid steers, post drivers, augers and other construction equipment Install commercial, agricultural and residential fencing Assist with fabric-covered structure installations Read plans, measurements and job specifications Manage materials, tools and equipment on the jobsite Maintain Log Cabin Fence's standards for workmanship and safety Communicate professionally with customers and project managers Identify problems in the field and figure out solutions Train and develop less-experienced crew members Who We're Looking For You don't necessarily need previous fence experience. We're interested in people with backgrounds in: Fence installation General construction Carpentry Concrete Excavation Agricultural construction Steel/building erection Utility construction Equipment operation Landscaping/hardscaping Foreman or crew-lead experience is strongly preferred. The right person knows how to work with their hands, operate equipment, measure and lay out a project, lead other people, and keep a job moving. Requirements Valid driver's license and good driving record Ability to pass a DOT physical Reliable and dependable Comfortable working outdoors year-round Able to perform physical construction work Able to work independently and make good decisions in the field Equipment-operation experience and construction certifications are a plus.
