Monday-Friday Job Summary D.C. Goodman & Sons performs commercial and industrial electrical work — including general electrical, power generation, high/medium voltage distribution, and BIM-coordinated construction — on projects like hospitals and college campuses. We're hiring an Electrical Foreman to lead crews on active commercial/industrial construction and renovation sites, including multistory and big-box/retail projects. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical skill and the ability to direct a crew. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a crew of 5+ electricians and apprentices on commercial/industrial job sites Plan and sequence daily work assignments to keep jobs on schedule Read blueprints/specs and translate them into field layout and installation Ensure work meets NEC code and passes inspection Order materials, track inventory, and coordinate site deliveries Communicate with project managers on progress, delays, and scope changes Coordinate with other trade foremen (mechanical, plumbing, fire protection) on multi-trade jobs Enforce jobsite safety and OSHA compliance Troubleshoot field issues and make judgment calls when specs don't match site conditions Train and mentor apprentices/junior electricians Maintain timesheets, daily reports, and closeout punch lists
Qualifications Required:
10+ years as an electrician, including 3-5+ years running projects/crews Strong commercial/industrial background (not primarily residential) Experience with lighting and control systems, fire alarm systems, and multistory projects Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and specs; working knowledge of NEC Experience with panel work, conduit runs, and high/medium voltage distribution OSHA 30 Valid driver's license
Preferred:
Master Electrician License, especially for pulling permits Prior foreman/crew-lead experience Comfort coordinating with other trades (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) on multi-trade jobs
