Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Construction Site Foreman to lead field crews and oversee day-to-day job-site operations. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can effectively manage crews, coordinate work in the field, and keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a dependable leader who understands construction operations, can read plans, communicates well with both field and management teams, and is willing to work alongside the crew when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, lead, and coordinate daily activities of field crews.
- Plan daily work and assign employees, equipment, and resources to specific tasks.
- Provide hands-on field leadership and assist crews when necessary.
- Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Monitor daily production and ensure work is completed correctly and efficiently.
- Track labor, materials, equipment usage, and project progress.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and other trades.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, employee hours, job-site documentation, and progress information.
- Monitor material and equipment needs and communicate upcoming requirements to management.
- Enforce company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and proper PPE use.
- Maintain an organized, professional, and safe job site.
- Identify field conflicts, constructability concerns, and potential delays and communicate them promptly.
- Help resolve job-site issues before they impact the project schedule or budget.
- Maintain accountability, productivity, and quality among field crews.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of construction experience , including Foreman, Assistant Foreman, or Crew Lead experience.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise and motivate field crews.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, equipment, and job-site safety.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan daily activities and keep crews productive.
- Comfortable communicating with Project Managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades.
- Ability to maintain accurate field documentation and daily reports.
- Valid driver's license and dependable transportation required.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and willing to work overtime when project schedules require it.
