Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead and supervise electrical installation projects within the commercial construction sector. This role involves managing electrical crews, ensuring project milestones are met on time and within budget, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and construction management software. As a key team leader, you will coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to deliver exceptional results on complex projects. Duties Lead and supervise electrical crews on commercial construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide installation processes accurately. Coordinate construction schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or other construction management software to meet project deadlines. Manage daily operations on-site, including quality control, safety compliance per OSHA and federal regulations, and adherence to construction regulations. Review and interpret contracts, change orders, and technical documents to ensure scope compliance. Oversee project budgeting, procurement of materials using HeavyBid or similar estimating tools, and manage resources effectively. Supervise team performance through effective communication, training, and management of crew members' responsibilities. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to uphold construction site safety standards and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with project managers to coordinate construction schedules and resolve any onsite issues promptly. Utilize construction safety management practices to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment at all times. Skills Extensive experience in commercial construction projects with a focus on electrical systems installation. Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, or equivalent tools. Strong knowledge of federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and general construction regulations. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in project scheduling, budget management, and resource allocation. Proven track record of supervising teams effectively in fast-paced environments. Excellent managerial communication skills for managing crews and coordinating with stakeholders. Familiarity with pipeline electrical systems is a plus for specific projects involving infrastructure work. Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting. Knowledge of quality control procedures to ensure high standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
