This position requires 5+ years of experience in underground utilities, specifically water, sewer, and drainage. The Pipe Foreman will serve as the lead foreman on projects while also operating equipment, including an excavator, and managing a 3-5 person crew. We are looking for someone who can lead from the field, communicate effectively, and work alongside their crew to get the job done safely and efficiently. A CDL is not required at the time of hire, but applicants must be willing to obtain one if needed. Pay is based on experience. Responsibilities Lead the installation of water, sewer, and drainage systems Manage and provide daily direction to a 3-5 person crew Plan and coordinate daily jobsite activities and crew responsibilities Operate excavators and other heavy equipment as needed Read and understand construction plans, specifications, elevations, and grades Ensure utilities are installed according to project plans and specifications Coordinate materials, equipment, and manpower needed to complete daily work Communicate with project management regarding schedules, progress, materials, and jobsite needs Communicate and coordinate with inspectors, subcontractors, and other trades as needed Identify and troubleshoot jobsite issues as they arise Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards Enforce company and jobsite safety procedures Maintain an organized, productive, and safe jobsite Work alongside the crew and assist with physical labor when needed Help train and develop crew members What We're Looking For 5+ years of underground utility experience required Strong knowledge of water, sewer, and drainage installation Previous foreman or crew leadership experience preferred Experience operating an excavator and other heavy equipment Ability to read and understand construction plans, elevations, grades, and specifications Ability to lead, organize, and motivate a crew Strong communication and problem-solving skills Dependable and punctual Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to take ownership of a project and make decisions in the field Willingness to work alongside the crew when needed Willingness to obtain a CDL, with company reimbursement Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the position, including lifting and carrying heavy materials, bending, kneeling, climbing, hand digging, and working on your feet for extended periods Ability to safely perform physically demanding work throughout the workday Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions Interested in growing with the company and helping develop the team Benefits Health insurance with a portion paid by the employer Dental and vision insurance available
