This is a hands-on working foreman position. You will work alongside the crew while helping organize the jobsite, assign daily tasks, maintain quality standards, and keep projects moving efficiently. Our projects vary from landscape installations to patios, retaining walls, drainage, irrigation, grading, planting, and other outdoor construction projects. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can solve problems in the field, and can eventually take responsibility for running a project from start to finish. Responsibilities Lead and work alongside a small landscape construction crew
  • Read and follow project plans, layouts, measurements, grades, and job instructions
  • Install paver patios, walkways, retaining walls and other hardscape features
  • Perform grading, drainage, planting, mulching, sod and landscape installation
  • Assist with irrigation installation and repairs
  • Safely operate skid steers, mini skid steers, compactors, saws and other landscape equipment
  • Assign tasks and keep crew members productive throughout the day
  • Monitor workmanship and correct problems before they become larger issues
  • Keep jobsites, trucks, trailers and equipment organized and clean
  • Track materials and communicate material or equipment needs
  • Communicate with the owner regarding job progress, problems and changes
  • Follow company safety procedures and ensure the crew does the same
  • Be willing to perform physical labor alongside the crew Qualifications Previous professional landscaping, hardscaping or outdoor construction experience required
  • Foreman or crew-leader experience preferred
  • Experience with pavers and retaining walls strongly preferred
  • Ability to establish grades and understand proper base preparation is a plus
  • Experience operating landscape/construction equipment preferred
  • Basic irrigation and drainage knowledge is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor
  • Dependable, organized and able to arrive on time
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills What We're Looking For We aren't looking for someone who simply stands back and tells other people what to do.
We need a working foreman who leads by example, takes ownership of the project and cares about the finished product. The right person will have an opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as the company grows.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
