Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Foreman to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing on-site operations, supervising construction crews, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and maintaining project schedules and budgets. This role demands a proactive leader with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, a comprehensive understanding of construction management practices and 15-20 years of experience. The Construction Foreman will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality projects efficiently, safely, and within scope. Responsibilities Supervise daily construction activities on-site, coordinating tasks among various teams to ensure project milestones are met on time. The Foreman coordinates with project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and other trades while maintaining quality standards, schedules, and job-site organization Enforce strict adherence to OSHA regulations and federal safety standards, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections. Oversee quality control processes, ensuring work meets project specifications, codes, and safety protocols. Coordinate with project managers to develop and update construction schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Supervise crew management activities including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution. Review contracts and manage subcontractor relationships to ensure scope compliance and timely delivery. They also help resolve issues, manage materials and equipment, enforce safety procedures, and ensure the crew follows company policies and applicable building codes. They lead and direct workers, assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications. Skills Extensive experience in construction site management with a focus on commercial or heavy civil projects. Strong knowledge of construction regulations such as OSHA standards and federal safety requirements. Demonstrated ability in blueprint reading, project scheduling, and interpreting technical drawings. Proven management skills in supervising teams within a fast-paced construction environment. Excellent communication skills for effective managerial oversight and client interactions. Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and managing contracts to ensure project profitability. Familiarity with construction safety management practices and quality assurance procedures. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of construction drawing review processes and construction schedule coordination.
