Underground Utility Foreman, Pipe Crew Lead, Wet Utilities Foreman, Storm Sewer Foreman, Waterline Construction Lead, Sanitary Sewer Foreman, Underground Pipelayer Lead, Civil Utilities Crew Leader Position Overview DL Glover Utilities, LLC is seeking an experienced Underground Utility Foreman to lead field crews performing complex storm sewer, waterline, and sanitary sewer installations. In this key field leadership role, you will be responsible for daily jobsite operations, crew productivity, field safety, installation quality, and direct coordination with project management and civil inspectors. The ideal candidate brings strong, hands-on underground utility experience with the proven capability to independently manage field crews while keeping civil projects on schedule and within technical specifications.Key Responsibilities Crew Leadership:
Supervise, coordinate, and lead underground utility crews on active civil construction jobsites.Utility System Installation:
Perform and oversee the physical installation of storm sewer, waterline, and sanitary sewer systems.Site Logistics Management:
Coordinate excavation, trenching, bedding, pipe placement, backfill, compaction, and surface restoration operations.Plan and Elevation Literacy:
Read, interpret, and work directly from construction plans, utility profiles, engineering details, and technical specifications.Precision Alignment:
Establish exact grades, elevations, and proper pipe alignment using field equipment.Operational Coordination:
Coordinate daily production activities with Project Managers, Superintendents, inspectors, subcontractors, and material suppliers.Resource Planning:
Plan manpower, heavy equipment, and material requirements to maintain daily production targets.Production Tracking:
Accurately track daily installation quantities, completed work logs, and site progress.Field Safety Enforcement:
Maintain jobsite safety standards, ensuring proper trench protection, shoring, and excavation safety procedures are strictly executed.Conflict Resolution:
Proactively identify field utility conflicts and communicate issues before they impact overall jobsite production.Quality Control:
Maintain high installation standards and ensure all work meets contract specifications.Asset Stewardship:
Ensure field equipment, specialized tools, and construction materials are properly maintained and utilized efficiently.Professional Workforce Direction:
Lead crews professionally while holding employees accountable for safety, attendance, quality, and daily output. What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)Required Industry Tenure:
5 or more years of hands-on underground utility construction experience preferred.Leadership Track Record:
Prior Foreman, Pipe Lead, or crew supervisory experience strongly preferred.Wet Utility Expertise:
Proven, direct experience with storm sewer, waterline, and sanitary sewer construction.Technical Civil Knowledge:
Deep understanding of excavation methods, trench safety, pipe laying, backfill, and utility construction best practices.Blueprints and Surveying:
Demonstrated ability to read construction plans, understand technical profiles, and establish grades and elevations.Active Site Experience:
Hands-on experience working around existing utility lines and active roadways.Production Management:
Proven ability to lead crews, solve field problems, and achieve daily production goals.Driver Credentials:
Valid state driver license with an acceptable driving record.Safety Certifications:
OSHA compliance and specialized excavation or trench safety experience preferred.Compensation & Benefits Guaranteed Weekly Earnings:
Direct salary pay of $1,500.00 per week.Fleet Support Allowance:
