Position Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Data Cabling Foreman to lead onsite crews and ensure the successful execution of structured cabling projects. This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with a minimum of 5 years of field experience in voice and data cabling installation and team supervision. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise installation teams on structured cabling projects (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, etc.) Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications Coordinate and schedule work with project managers, general contractors, and other trades Ensure all installations are completed to industry standards, including testing, labeling, and documentation Conduct quality control checks and safety inspections to ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards Troubleshoot cabling issues and assist technicians as needed Manage inventory and ensure tools and materials are available onsite Train, mentor, and evaluate junior technicians and installers Provide accurate daily and weekly progress updates to management Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in structured cabling installation, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role Proficient with copper and fiber cabling installation, termination, and testing Strong understanding of TIA/EIA standards, BICSI best practices, and cable routing techniques Ability to read and interpret blueprints and floor plans Familiarity with industry testing equipment (e.g., Fluke testers) Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in construction environments Valid driver's license and clean driving record BICSI certification (Installer 2 or Technician) a plus
