Job Summary Pay:
$42.00 to $50.00 per hour, based on experience Specialized Construction Services (SCS) is seeking an experienced Industrial Civil Superintendent to lead field construction activities on a major industrial project in West Texas. This individual will oversee daily field operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong experience in industrial civil construction, including site development, excavation, underground utilities, concrete foundations, structural concrete, and heavy industrial construction. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily field operations, craft personnel, and subcontractors Plan and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and work sequencing to maintain project schedules Oversee excavation, grading, underground utilities, reinforcing steel, formwork, concrete placement, anchor bolts, embeds, equipment foundations, structural concrete, and paving activities Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documents to ensure work is executed correctly Coordinate with project management, engineering, quality control, safety personnel, vendors, and other trades Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules and daily work plans Monitor productivity, labor performance, installed quantities, and schedule progress Identify field conflicts, material shortages, and schedule impacts before they affect production Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower records, equipment usage, and production documentation Support inspections, testing, turnover documentation, and project closeout activities Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work complies with company and project safety requirements Qualifications Minimum of 7 year s of civil construction experience with supervisory responsibility Industrial construction experience required Experience with excavation, grading, underground utilities, equipment foundations, structural concrete, and site development Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and architectural drawings Strong understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, quality standards, and jobsite safety Proven leadership experience managing crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced construction environment Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Experience developing look-ahead schedules and coordinating multiple work fronts Proficient with electronic daily reports, email, and basic project documentation MSHA experience preferred, but not required Valid driver's license required Position Details Full-time, project-based position Project located in
