ABOUT THE JOB

Tom's Mechanical has been providing quality commercial plumbing for over 40 years. We are looking for experienced Commercial Journeyman Plumbers and Foremen to join our growing team. We offer steady work, competitive pay, good benefits, and opportunities to advance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Install commercial plumbing systems on new construction projects. Install above-ground and underground piping, fixtures, and equipment. Read blueprints and plumbing drawings. Follow plumbing codes, project specifications, and safety requirements. Work with general contractors, inspectors, and other trades. Safely use tools, lifts, and construction equipment. Keep the job site clean and safe. Help train and support apprentices and other crew members.

FOREMAN RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and supervise plumbing crews. Assign daily work and coordinate manpower and materials. Monitor quality and productivity. Help keep projects on schedule. Communicate with project managers, contractors, and inspectors. Conduct safety meetings and enforce company safety policies. Train apprentices and Journeyman Plumbers. Complete daily reports and timekeeping.

QUALIFICATIONS

Current Journeyman Plumbing License - Required 4-8 years of commercial plumbing experience preferred. Foreman experience preferred for Foreman applicants. Good knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and codes. Ability to read blueprints. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Lift up to 75 pounds. Work on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts. Bend, kneel, climb, lift, and work overhead. Work indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions.
