Supervises the full range of tasks required to operate, install, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, and repair industrial-type electrical systems, commercial kitchen equipment, controls, and other complex equipment.

Required Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) certificate. Four (4) years of experience in the electrical trade, one (1) year of which shall have been in a lead role. Must possess a valid Commonwealth of Virginia master electrician's license. Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record. Knowledge of the methods and skills in the use of equipment, materials, and tools appropriate for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical activities. Capability to establish methods, procedures, deadlines, and priorities for assigned workers and perform employee evaluations, as required. Knowledge of common hazards and necessary safety precautions. Knowledge of local, state, and national codes; skill in performing welding and sheet metal work. Facility in reading, interpreting, and explaining instructions, diagrams, sketches, blueprints, and manufacturers' manuals. Ability to estimate time and material needs, determine when the repair is not economically practical, and perform routine tasks and arithmetic computations. Maintenance/Trades Major Duties/Essential Functions:
Is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and operation of extensive, complex electrical systems and associated equipment in permanent and temporary structures abiding by established policies, plans, methods, procedures, deadlines, and priorities. Plans and assumes responsibility for the efficient, timely, and economical accomplishment of assigned work and evaluation of staff. Sets priorities, deadlines, and sequence of the approved work operation. Coordinates activities with personnel in other shops, organizations, and/or contracting firms, as required. Develops and delivers training to subordinates. Ensures that crews have proper and sufficient tools, supplies, and equipment to perform assigned tasks. Provides assistance when problems arise. Evaluates work performance of subordinates. Reviews work in progress for compliance with acceptable performance and safety standards. Prepares cost estimates and identifies needs. Keeps records. Recommends cost control methods to improve performance. Prepares and submits required or requested reports to include the status of work activities, availability of parts and materials, and ability to accomplish work as scheduled. Performs electrical work, as required. Performs other related duties as required or assigned.Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
This job requires strength, agility, dexterity, and visual acuity to perform all tasks. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must adhere to all site safety regulations and may be required to regularly stand, sit, walk, bend, climb ladders, and/or kneel. There may be exposure to extreme heat and cold, outdoor environments, heavy equipment, moving machinery, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noises. This job requires lifting up to 25 lbs., periodically lifting/moving up to 50 lbs., and occasional lifting/moving up to 100 lbs. alone or with assistance.Benefits
