Company truck Summary The Working Foreman is responsible for leading the crew while actively working alongside team members on construction and remodeling projects. This role helps organize daily jobsite tasks, assign work, maintain productivity, and ensure projects are completed according to the scope of work. The Working Foreman is expected to maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, cleanliness, and jobsite professionalism. They will communicate job progress, material needs, and any problems or changes to management in a timely manner. The ideal candidate is dependable, experienced in construction, able to lead by example, and capable of keeping the crew focused and productive throughout the workday. Qualifications Attention to detail Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Previous construction or remodeling experience required Previous leadership, crew lead, or foreman experience preferred Strong knowledge of common construction methods, tools, and jobsite practices Ability to read scopes of work, follow plans, and communicate job expectations to the crew Dependable, organized, safety-minded, and able to manage multiple jobsite priorities Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Primary Responsibilities Project Planning Review the scope of work, project notes, drawings, and instructions. Understand the daily priorities and sequence of work. Confirm required tools, materials, equipment, and safety gear are available. Identify missing information, material shortages, or likely delays early. Coordinate inspections, deliveries, subcontractors, and customer access as directed. Crew Leadership Assign clear tasks and production goals. Keep crew members working safely and productively. Provide instruction and correct poor workmanship or unsafe behavior. Match tasks to each employee's experience and ability. Maintain a respectful and professional work environment. Report ongoing attendance, attitude, safety, or performance concerns to management. Construction Work The Crew Leader may perform and supervise work including: Demolition and debris removal. Framing and structural repairs within assigned qualifications. Decks, porches, fences, stairs, and railings. Doors, windows, siding, trim, soffit, and fascia. Drywall, flooring, cabinets, trim, painting, and finish work. Jobsite protection, material handling, and cleanup. Other residential and light commercial work assigned by management. Work requiring a permit, inspection, separate license, or special authorization must not proceed without management approval. Production and Quality Do not cover questionable or incomplete work. Plan work to minimize downtime and unnecessary trips. Monitor progress throughout the day. Inspect measurements, layout, fastening, alignment, and finished details. Follow manufacturer instructions and accepted construction practices. Correct deficiencies before moving to the next phase. Notify management when labor, materials, or schedule expectations may change. Scope and Customer Communication Complete only the approved scope unless additional work is authorized. Direct pricing, payment, contract, warranty, and change-order questions to management. Report customer concerns or requests promptly. Document hidden conditions, damage, delays, and work that may require a change order. Do not promise additional work or completion dates without approval. Safety and Jobsite Care Enforce safe tool, ladder, scaffold, and material-handling practices. Require appropriate personal protective equipment. Protect customers, occupants, pets, property, and completed work. Keep work areas reasonably clean and organized. Secure tools, materials, and the site at the end of the day. Immediately report injuries, damage, utility strikes, and serious safety concerns. Tools, Materials, and Documentation Protect and account for company tools and equipment. Report missing, damaged, or unsafe tools. Monitor material use and report shortages before they stop production. Reduce preventable waste and damage. Confirm crew time is recorded accurately. Provide clear daily updates, photographs, and job notes as required.

$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
