The ideal candidate has experience working on commercial and/or industrial construction projects and is comfortable performing a variety of physical tasks while assisting skilled trades and superintendents. This position offers steady work with opportunities to grow within the company. Responsibilities Perform general construction labor on commercial and industrial job sites. Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, concrete crews, and other skilled trades as needed. Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently. Clean and prepare job sites, removing debris and maintaining a safe work environment. Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and perform grading or site preparation. Assemble and dismantle temporary structures, barricades, and scaffolding when required. Measure, cut, and install basic building materials under supervision. Follow project plans, supervisor instructions, and OSHA safety standards. Complete other duties as assigned to support project completion. Construction laborers commonly perform site preparation, operate hand and power tools, assist skilled trades, and maintain safe work areas. Requirements Qualifications 2+ years of construction labor experience preferred. Experience on commercial, industrial, or civil construction projects is a plus. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Experience with demolition, framing, concrete, excavation, or general site work is preferred. Ability to read a tape measure and follow basic construction drawings is a plus. Reliable transportation to and from job sites. Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-focused. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions. Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout the day.
