Job Description Summary:
As a Construction Laborer I - Telecom, you'll support field crews with the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial and underground telecom infrastructure. This entry-level role focuses on learning safe construction practices, performing manual labor tasks, and building the foundation for a long-term career in telecommunications construction.
Job Description:
What You'll Do Assist with conduit placement, cable placement, trenching, and job site restoration. Hand-dig trenches and backfill safely under supervision. Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment. Operate basic hand and power tools. Set up and break down traffic control and safety zones. Clear brush, debris, and obstacles to prepare work sites. Support linemen and operators with pole setting and conduit placement. Maintain a clean and safe job site while following all safety protocols. Participate in on-call rotation schedules and travel to project sites as required, including overnight stays. What You'll Bring High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn. Preferred Qualifications Prior construction or telecom experience. OSHA 10 certification. CDL Class A or B.
