Job Description

NATURE OF WORK
Under close supervision, performs semi-skilled work of moderate difficulty maintaining and repairing County buildings and facilities; performs other work as required or assigned.

TYPICAL DUTIES
Performs general maintenance and repair work including carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, and repair of air conditioning. May be required to observe, control & Supervise inmate activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Working Knowledge of:
Occupational hazards and safety precautions.
Considerable Knowledge of:
Methods and materials used for electrical, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and general maintenance tasks.
Considerable Skill in:
operating hand and power tools used in performing maintenance and repair tasks.
Ability to:
establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, follow verbal and written instructions, perform manual labor including heavy lifting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) years of experience in general maintenance or electrical repair work; or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
: Possession of a valid Arizona Driver License. (Position is in the classified service and is FLSA non-exempt) This position pays $15.15 per hour.
