Pay Range:
$15.50 - $18.00 an hourSummary of Job:
DLC is looking for a high energy versatile candidate. As a special projects crew member, you will perform a variety of tasks focused on quality safety and efficiency. This position will allow you to work on various projects which include hardscape construction. Additionally, operate specialized equipment such as a tractor, backhoe or skid steer.Essential Functions:
- Work closely with Foreman and Crew Leader in installation of landscape construction projects.
- Perform physical installation work on a consistent basis.
- Work as part of a team and take direction.
- Trenching on daily basis
- Working with concrete, block and stucco
- Responsible for general clean up and trash removal
- Use of power and hand tools.
- Perform skilled and unskilled maintenance work involving strenuous tasks often under adverse climatic conditions
- Understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
- Work safely and efficiently with others
- Maintain adherence to all OSHA standards
- Operating company vehicle to work site and around work site
- Perform other tasks or projects as assigned / instructed by Foreman and/or Crew Leader.
Job Skills/Requirements:
- 1 year of general landscape experience preferred but not required
- Ability to identify different types of plants and trees
- Arizona Driver License and acceptable MVR record (39 months) preferred but not a must
- Must be able to pass driving test if hired as a driver
- Must be able to work safely
- Safely operate small pieces of equipment (power and hand tools)
- Experience driving a work truck and trailer is a plus
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:
- Able to lift 50 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried and/or pushed)
- Able to walk/stand for long periods of time
- Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may part of daily job duties
- Ability to work in adverse conditions such as excessive heat
- Able to work in and around various plants and landscaping materials
