Job Title:

Cooling Tower Technician Job Description As a Cooling Tower Technician, you will play a vital role in the construction, erection, installation, fabrication, and repairs of various types of cooling towers. This role requires individuals who can perform assigned duties without constant supervision, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards. Extensive travel may be required depending on project locations. Responsibilities Assist with the installation of mechanical equipment including motors, fans, gearboxes, and drive shafts. Select appropriate lumber and materials for assigned jobs. Prepare layouts using rulers, tape measures, framing squares, and calipers. Shape materials to specified measurements using saws, chisels, and grinders. Assemble cut and shaped materials. Assist with piping and nozzle installation. Erect framework while maintaining safety standards. Work at heights with 100% tie-off compliance. Lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending and climbing tasks. Operate in outdoor or plant environments, potentially exposed to adverse weather, heat, and noise. Essential Skills Proficiency in using hand tools such as saws, drills, and wrenches. Experience in general labor and construction. Ability to work at heights and outdoors. Interest in a construction career. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with cooling towers is a plus. BG in HVAC is beneficial. Ability to utilize a power washer effectively. Completion of safety essentials, fall protection, confined space, and OSHA 10 training (client paid). Why Work Here? The work environment may involve exposure to weather elements and requires adherence to safety protocols. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
