In this role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating structures by performing a variety of physical tasks on construction sites. Your energy, attention to safety, and willingness to learn will contribute to successful project completion. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills in various aspects of construction work, from concrete pouring to framing and finishing. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers in accordance with workplace safety regulations. Mix, pour, and finish concrete using mixers, pumps, and hand tools, ensuring quality and adherence to blueprint specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute tasks such as rebar installation, formwork construction, and metal stud framing. Operate power tools and hand tools safely for tasks like cutting concrete, installing stucco or plastering surfaces, caulking, and tile laying. Support carpentry activities including framing, installing drywall or metal studs, and constructing formwork for concrete projects. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for construction projects while maintaining proper safety protocols. Assist with site inspections for safety compliance, monitor construction progress against plans, and communicate any issues to supervisors promptly. Experience Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related laborer role is highly preferred Drywall, Plumbing, lighting, painting, flooring, etc. Knowledge of construction estimating processes is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with heavy equipment such as boom lifts and understanding of construction workplace safety regulations is advantageous. Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and executing detailed specifications is desirable. Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools, power tools, concrete cutting equipment, and perform concrete finishing tasks effectively. Ability to perform physically demanding work including heavy lifting, climbing scaffolds, and working in various weather conditions.
