A Construction Helper or Worker works at construction sites and projects. Works as a skilled trades worker such as bricklayer, carpenter, painter, electrician or mason, or operates construction equipment.
$78.65 Pay is prevailing wage when working on prevailing wage projects, otherwise, the pay will be the hourly rate ($49.20) without the fringes.
Responsibilities:
Working knowledge of the installation of pull boxes, components, fittings, fasteners, vaults, grounding, ground rods, ground clamps and trench plates. Installing, cutting, fitting and bandaging ducts, raceways and conduits. Excavating, setting, leveling, distribution and grounding of precast manholes, vaults and pull boxes, including ground rods, rock necessary for leveling and drainage, as well as the pouring of concrete envelops and all methods necessary for the installation of foundations which will support electrical equipment, apparatus, devices or raceways. Installation of foundations and rebar cages for transportation equipment. Operate heavy machinery like backhoes, excavators, bore machines and skid steers. Perform various manual labor tasks, including but not limited to digging, lifting, carrying, and moving materials. Assist with the setup and dismantling of equipment and structures as needed. Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Follow instructions and guidelines to complete assigned tasks within designated time frames. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Assist with loading and unloading materials, supplies, and equipment from trucks and delivery vehicles. Assist skilled workers by providing support and carrying out basic tasks as directed. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols. Report any safety concerns, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
