Skilled Construction Landscape Laborer

Marin County Landscape Construction Company is seeking a career minded, dynamic and experienced Landscape Construction Laborer to join our team. This is a Landscape Construction position (
•_ not maintenance _
•) that is located in Novato California, if you do not live in the greater Bay Area this is not the position for you all our work is in Marin County. Job Summary The Construction Landscape Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor building garden projects. This is not a maintenance job you will be operating hand and power tools of all types; air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instructions, you will be forming, digging preparing sites, digging trenches, clean up rubble, and debris and all things required depending on needs of the landscape construction site. Typical Duties working at various Marin County locations: Ability to work in a quick-paced, safety-oriented team environment Willingness to follow detailed instructions Experience working with hand and/or power tools to perform a range of landscape construction or irrigation duties Digging and cleaning trenches for irrigation and drainage systems Installing pipe, valves, control wire, sprinklers, and drip irrigation systems Place and prepare soil with amendments and fertilizers Raking and fine grading of prepared planting soil Tree and shrub planting including tree staking and/or guying Sod lawn preparation and installation Able to safely work near and around heavy construction equipment The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, and carry objects up to 50lbs of weight Perform general physical activities that may include climbing, lifting, balance, walking, stopping, or kneeling. This job requires standing, kneeling, and bending for long periods of time Able to access construction needs and circumvent problems Maintain a safety-first culture Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred
Language Skills:
Understanding of English as associated with the jobsite safety and the typical duties required of this position
Mathematical Skills :
Basic understanding of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Reasoning Ability:
apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
Interpersonal Skills:
ability to solve conflict, create team atmosphere, dependable, and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness Must have transportation to and from the jobsite daily
Compensation:
$23.00 to $28.00 and hour depending on experience
