Job Description

With over 3000 miles of Fiber in over 100 cities, Viaero Fiber is growing and looking for Fiber Optic Utility Construction workers to join our outside plant fiber construction crew. We re looking for entry-level and experienced Construction techs who are committed to ensuring the quality of our construction, and the reliability of our network. What you ll do : Install new Fiber Optic Network facilities (buried underground and possible aerial) Pothole existing utilities, place various sized vaults/handholes/manholes, excavating trenches/holes, core drilling building entrances, setting marker post Place fiber in new and existing conduits Document work progress as required Haul and move equipment/trailers/materials from project to project Assist with cleaning out inventory yards Assist other teams within fiber as necessary and cross train Perform other duties as required
Requirements :
Fiber Optic or Utility Construction experience is desired, but willing to train At least 18 years of age and hold a current driver s license; 21+ and/or CDL endorsement a plus. Able to perform manual tasks requiring frequent walking, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, digging, pushing and pulling Able to lift materials weighing up to 100 pounds Able to work outside in all elements Must be able to travel for extended periods of time (overnight and weekly stays required) Must have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law.
