Snipps Heating & Air Conditioning | Montrose, CO | Western Slope Service Area Join a Growing HVAC Team Snipps Heating & Air Conditioning has been serving the Western Slope since 1996. Were looking for a reliable, hands-on General Rough-In HVAC Laborer to support our residential HVAC installation crews throughout the Western Slope. This is a great opportunity for someone with construction, mechanical, warehouse, or general labor experience who wants to build valuable HVAC skills and grow within the trade. Strong performers who are reliable, work hard, and learn quickly have a clear path toward becoming a full installer.
Location:
Montrose, CO serving Montrose, Delta, Ouray, Gunnison, and surrounding areas. The Role As a General Rough-In HVAC Laborer , youll work alongside a Lead Installer during the rough-in phase of residential HVAC installations. Youll help run and hang ductwork, install line sets and drains, position equipment, prep job sites, and keep materials and work areas organized.
What Youll Do Ductwork:
Run, hang, and seal supply and return ductwork in attics, crawlspaces, basements, and mechanical rooms. Line sets & drains: Cut, route, and support refrigerant line sets and condensate drain lines.
Equipment placement:
Set and secure furnaces, air handlers, condensers, and other HVAC equipment in the rough position. Support the
Lead Installer:
Assist with hand tools, materials, openings, penetrations, and assigned installation tasks. Site & materials: Load, organize, and track tools and materials while keeping job sites clean and safe.
Safety:
Follow PPE requirements, jobsite rules, and all company safety practices. What Were Looking For HVAC experience is not required ; construction, mechanical, warehouse, or general labor experience is a plus. Comfortable using basic hand and power tools safely. Able to follow written and verbal instructions. Reliable, punctual, and ready to work as part of a small crew. Comfortable traveling between job sites throughout the Western Slope. Valid Colorado drivers license preferred, with a driving record that meets company insurance requirements. Willing to work toward EPA Section 608 certification , with support from Snipps. Physical Requirements Regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs and occasionally handle heavier items with a partner. Comfortable working on ladders and in attics, crawlspaces, and tight mechanical spaces. Able to stand, kneel, bend, and work overhead throughout the workday. Comfortable working outdoors and in unfinished construction spaces in Colorados seasonal conditions. Compensation & Schedule $18$23/hour , depending on experience.
