Job Title:
Technician Job Description Join our team as a Technician responsible for the uncrating and placement of machinery used in battery manufacturing. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the seamless movement and setting of equipment within a dynamic environment. The role offers a standard work schedule of 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime on Saturdays. Responsibilities Unload, load, and unstuff cargoes from trailers or shipping containers. Uncrate, crate, unpack, pack, and move cargoes using manual or powered hand tools and material handling equipment. Relocate and roughly set cargoes to the designated location on the production floor using tools such as manual toe jacks, skates, dollies, pallet jacks, and forklifts. Essential Skills Previous experience in a labor-intensive role. Must have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 certification. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor tasks. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ year of experience in construction or physical labor. Experience in operating forklifts, gradalls, or other lifts is a plus, but not required. Ability to walk over 10 miles per day. Capability to bend, crawl, and walk repeatedly throughout the day. Work Environment The work is conducted at a large 2M SQFT Panasonic manufacturing facility, involving both indoor and outdoor material movement. The environment is hot and non-climate controlled, requiring adaptability and resilience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of De Soto, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
