With over 25 years of experience, we are known for our exceptional service and commitment to customer satisfaction. Whether it's new construction, weekly maintenance, or a total rehab and renovation, we have the expertise to meet all pool and spa needs. Role Description Freedom Pool & Spa is seeking construction laborers for our growing construction division. Team members assist in new gunite swimming pool construction and full-scale renovation projects. On-the-job training is available, along with formal industry training each winter. About the Work This is a hands-on, physically demanding role . Day-to-day work happens outdoors, in all weather, and involves heavy manual labor at active job sites. Candidates should be comfortable being on their feet all day, working in dirt and water, and putting in real physical effort.
Typical job duties include:
Operating jackhammers, power tools, and concrete saws Demolition of existing pool shells, concrete decks, and coping Hand and machine digging / trenching Installation of pool plumbing (PVC cutting, gluing, pressure testing) Setting and laying coping stone (granite, bluestone, pavers) Laying waterline tile and accent tile Mixing and placing mortar, grout, and hydraulic cement Loading, unloading, and moving heavy materials — must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs repeatedly throughout the day General site cleanup and material staging Qualifications The preferred candidate lives in the greater New Haven, Connecticut area Able to perform physically demanding work outdoors year-round, including lifting up to 80 lbs Comfortable operating jackhammers, power tools, and hand tools safely Strong communication and customer service skills — you'll often be working on the homeowner's property Experience in the pool industry, landscaping, masonry, construction, or other skilled trades is preferred but not required Works well with teammates to complete the daily job schedule Attention to detail and problem-solving ability Clean driving record
