Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are looking for an Excavation Laborer with a minimum of 5 years of excavation experience to assist in digging, leveling, and preparing land for construction projects. This includes operating equipment, handling tools, and ensuring safety standards are met on the work site. The laborer works closely with operators and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution. The position will be full-time with year-round work. We are looking for someone to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
Excavation Assistance:
Dig trenches, foundations, and other excavation areas using manual tools or heavy machinery.
Utility Work:
Assist in the installation or relocation of utilities such as water, gas, and electricity lines by digging appropriate trenches.
Shoring & Trenching:
Assist in placing shoring or other safety equipment to prevent cave-ins in trenches and other excavations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to operate manual and power tools safely and effectively. Basic understanding of excavation processes and safety standards. Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects. Knowledge of basic math and measurements for site layout and excavation depth.
Working Conditions:
May be required to work in weather conditions (rain, heat, etc.). Physical labor is a significant part of the job, requiring heavy lifting, digging, and carrying materials. Safety equipment such as hard hats, steel-toe boots, and gloves are required. Long hours and weekend work may be necessary depending on project deadlines.
