Gainesville, FL Job Details 7 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description As a Seal Coat Laborer, you will be a vital member of our field crew, responsible for executing high-quality sealcoating and pavement maintenance projects. You will work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, assisting in the preparation, application, and completion of projects. Specifically you will be responsible for:
Surface Preparation:
Perform essential site preparation, including cleaning, sweeping, crack sealing, and other surface treatments to ensure optimal coating adhesion.
Sealcoating Execution:
Assist in the application of sealcoating materials, ensuring uniform coverage and a professional finish that meets Rose Paving's quality standards.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate, maintain, and clean hand tools, power tools, and small engine equipment necessary for the job.
Site Safety:
Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, ensuring a safe environment for your crew and the public.
Project Delivery:
Work effectively as part of a team to meet project schedules and deadlines, maintaining clear communication with foremen and team members across all project phases.
Physical Demands:
Perform labor-intensive tasks throughout the day, including lifting up to 60 lbs., bending, digging, and climbing, often in varied weather conditions.
Experience:
1-2 years of related experience in paving, construction, or a similar field preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
Licensing:
Valid driver's license required. A Class A CDL is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Ability to perform basic math for measurements, weight, and volume calculations.
Operational Awareness:
A solid understanding of the paving process, including services like asphalt repairs, crack sealing, and parking lot marking.
Availability:
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet seasonal production demands.
Attitude:
Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working effectively both independently and within a team structure.
