Non-Exempt Summary:
ODC Construction is seeking a Block Laborer to assist in the construction and installation of block walls on various construction sites. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, dependable, and eager to learn about masonry and construction processes. As a Block Laborer, you will work alongside experienced crew members to ensure the timely and safe completion of projects.
Reports to:
Director of Construction Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist in the construction and installation of block walls, including mixing and applying mortar, laying blocks, and aligning them correctly. Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites. Set up and clean up work areas to ensure a safe and organized job site. Maintain proper handling and storage of materials such as blocks, mortar, and tools. Assist in measuring and marking areas to ensure precise placement of blocks. Follow directions from the Block Crew Leader and other supervisory staff. Operate and maintain basic construction equipment as needed (e.g., mortar mixers, saws). Work in coordination with other crew members to maintain a steady workflow. Follow safety protocols and adhere to all safety regulations on the job site. Assist with other labor duties as required, including carrying heavy materials, cleaning job sites, and organizing supplies. Ensure quality and attention to detail in every aspect of the job.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs., with or without a reasonable accommodation Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely, with or without reasonable accommodation. This position requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
