This is hands-on, meaningful work where what you do directly supports public safety and emergency response. If you're reliable, willing to work hard, and open to travel, we'll train you. What the Job Is Really Like No two days are the same—some projects are completed in a single day, while others keep you on-site for several weeks. You'll meet your team at job sites across Florida and work together to test fire hose, ladders, pumps, nozzles, aerials, and hard suction. Travel is a regular part of the job, and some projects require overnight stays. Travel, flexibility, and reliability are essential in this role. What You'll Do Unroll, roll, and load fire hose Test fire hose, ladders, pumps, nozzles, aerials, and hard suction Load, unload, and organize equipment and materials Assist with setting up and breaking down job sites Spot trucks and trailers safely Maintain a clean and organized work environment Work as part of a team to complete jobs efficiently and safely Follow instructions and safety procedures at all times What We Offer Paid training - no experience required Starting pay: $16.50/hour (based on experience) All travel expenses covered Room and board provided during travel Meals provided during travel Water, electrolytes, and sunscreen provided daily Hands-on experience working with real fire equipment Opportunities for pay increases based on performance Strong team environment with consistent work What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Willing to work outdoors in Florida weather (heat, humidity, rain) Able to perform physically demanding work Team-oriented with a strong work ethic Willing to travel regularly and stay overnight when required Able to follow instructions and communicate effectively Basic math and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license or ID and reliable transportation Ability to pass a drug screening Physical Requirements Lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally Stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, and lift throughout the day Work in outdoor conditions including heat, humidity, and occasional cold Why This Job Is Different This isn't just a general labor position—you'll be part of a team ensuring critical emergency equipment works when it's needed most.
