Job Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Laborer/Operator and be a vital part of building infrastructure that makes a difference! In this energetic role, you will operate heavy machinery, assist with excavation and utility work, and ensure safety compliance across all job sites. Your hands-on skills and proactive attitude will contribute to efficient project completion while adhering to federal safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your construction expertise and work with a dedicated team committed to excellence. Duties Operate heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar machinery to perform excavation, grading, and utility installation tasks Maintain and inspect construction machinery regularly to ensure optimal safety and performance standards Assist with construction utility work such as utility locating, trenching, and pipe installation Drive commercial trucks for transporting materials, equipment, or personnel to various job sites in compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations Follow construction safety procedures diligently, including equipment safety protocols and adherence to federal construction safety regulations Support site preparation activities by performing demolition, site clearing, and groundwork tasks Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met efficiently while maintaining a safe work environment Skills Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and Caterpillar equipment Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Ability to perform construction grading and excavation accurately using specialized tools and techniques Skilled in utility locating techniques essential for safe utility utility work on construction sites Valid commercial truck driving license with experience in transporting materials safely across various terrains Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to uphold a safe working environment Familiarity with construction site experience including backhoe operation, site preparation, and general utility work Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining high safety standards at all times This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their skills in heavy equipment operation and construction utility work.
