General Construction Laborer (Entry-Level)

We build the infrastructure beneath the region's growth — storm and sanitary systems, water main, grading, and underground detention. This is an entry-level role and a real foot in the door: show up, work hard, and learn the trade, and there's a path here to grow into skilled operator and pipe crew positions. Job Summary The General Construction Laborer supports daily site operations across our jobsites — preparing and clearing sites, moving materials, digging, and assisting skilled crew members with underground utility and site work. No prior construction experience is required. What we're looking for is reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Prepare construction sites by clearing obstacles and debris Load, unload, and move construction materials and equipment Operate various hand and power tools, including jackhammers and earth tampers Install traffic barricades, cones, and safety markers Dig trenches and assist with earth-moving and backfill tasks Assist skilled workers and equipment operators as directed Mix and spread concrete and other construction materials Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Follow all company safety guidelines and policies per the Employee Handbook Perform other job-related duties as assigned What We're Looking For Must be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the work environment Strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn on the job High degree of safety awareness and discipline Ability to work in a team and assist co-workers and supervisors as needed Professional, courteous attitude toward co-workers, supervisors, and the public Ability to be on time, work a full shift, and put in overtime, nights, or weekends when the job requires it Valid driver's license a plus No prior experience required — we'll train the right person Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor as needed Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and work on your feet for extended periods

Pay:
