Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Equipment Operator/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy construction machinery, including loaders, excavators, graders, dozers, backhoes, and water trucks, to support excavation, grading, paving, and utility work on construction sites. Your expertise in equipment safety procedures and maintenance will ensure smooth operations while adhering to federal construction safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while honing your skills in heavy equipment operation and construction utility work. Duties Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, and water trucks efficiently and safely on construction sites. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Assist with excavation tasks, site grading, paving operations, and utility locating to support project requirements. Follow all federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe work environment. Support construction utility work by installing, repairing, or maintaining underground utilities using appropriate machinery. Collaborate with team members to execute construction site activities accurately and efficiently. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities for accountability and safety compliance. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, and water trucks. Knowledge of construction utility work and excavation techniques. Ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment including mechanical troubleshooting skills. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving preferred. Familiarity with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures. Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction machinery maintenance and repair. Construction site experience with an understanding of grading, paving, utility locating and general construction operations. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. Join us in building infrastructure that makes a difference! Pay:
$27.50 - $100.00 per hour
