Job Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Utility and Grading Operator, Pipe Layer, or Laborer! In this vital role, you will be instrumental in executing utility system installation projects, including wastewater, sanitary drainage, stormwater, and underground utilities. Your expertise will help ensure that construction sites operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and technical specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure projects that make a real impact on communities. We are committed to providing a paid position where your skills contribute directly to building essential systems for water supply, sewer lines. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to perform trenching, grading, and utility installation tasks with precision. Install underground utilities including sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, water supply lines, and oil & gas pipelines following detailed construction plans and blueprints. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate placement of pipes and utility systems according to specifications. Conduct utility locating using specialized tools to identify existing underground utilities before excavation begins. Perform construction trenching while adhering strictly to safety protocols and federal construction safety regulations. Use hand tools and pipe lasers for precise pipe alignment and installation; ensure proper pipe laser calibration for accurate results. Execute concrete finishing tasks when required for utility structures or trench backfill areas. Follow all safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks in construction settings. Knowledge of utility trenching, pipe installation, sewer line installation, underground utilities installation, and pipeline projects. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately; experience interpreting construction plans is essential. Familiarity with utility locating techniques and tools used for identifying underground infrastructure. Skilled in the use of hand tools and construction equipment necessary for pipe fitting and concrete finishing tasks. Understanding of wastewater systems, sanitary drainage systems, stormwater systems, and water supply infrastructure. Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and safety protocol adherence during all phases of work. Experience working on underground utility projects within oil & gas or municipal infrastructure sectors is highly desirable. Pay:
