We're looking for two reliable and hardworking individuals to assist with dirt work on a project in Muscatine, Iowa. This is a seasonal day labor position with a tentative start date in mid-October.

Commute:

• Muscatine, IA 52761 (Required) — Local applicants are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris, vegetation, and obstacles from job sites.
• Perform manual excavation, grading, and compaction tasks under supervision.
• Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and level earth using shovels, picks, and rakes.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment from trucks and move to appropriate locations.
• Support heavy equipment operators by providing ground assistance during equipment operation.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively as directed.
• Assist with installation of drainage systems and other site components.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to quality standards.

Requirements:

• Must have prior construction experience.
• Must have experience operating heavy machinery.
• Must know how to use power tools safely and effectively.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience required.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects repeatedly.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from the site in Muscatine, Iowa.
