Job Description
Job Summary Secured Earth Systems (SES) is a family-owned business that has been building retaining wall systems for large developers, builders, and public works across the Treasure Valley for over 20 years. Job Description The General Laborer position will have varying duties on a day-to-day basis in support of retaining wall construction. They will be responsible for manual labor tasks, site maintenance, and general support operations at our work sites. The General Laborer will report directly to the Superintendent and/or Crew Foreman.
General Responsibilities:
- Install retaining wall blocks and other earth retention systems
- Operate small machinery/equipment in support of operations
- Perform shoveling and raking of aggregate materials
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites
- Load and unload materials and equipment from trucks
- Maintain overall site cleanliness
- Commit to team productivity and high-quality work product for our clients
- Prioritize safety for yourself and team members at all times
- Learn company systems and standard processes quickly
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from crew meeting places
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require heavy lifting (50-80 lbs.), bending, and standing for long periods of time
- Willingness to work outside, in all types of weather
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Punctual, professional, honest, and reliable
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude; willingness to learn
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Authorized to work in the United States Mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate various construction equipment is preferred (skid steer, mini-excavator, front-end loader, etc.
