- $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Construction painting Plastering Color theory Frame carpentry Caulking Full Job Description We do some restoration work, hanging sheetrock, applying mud and texturing.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and repairing cracks
- Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results
- Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape to protect surrounding areas
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and use proper protective equipment
Skills:
Renovate:
Ability to restore and improve the appearance of buildings or structuresPlaster:
Knowledge of applying plaster to walls, ceilings, or other surfaces- Blueprint reading: Understanding and interpreting architectural plans and drawings
- Frame carpentry: Experience in constructing or repairing wooden frameworks for buildings
Masonry:
Familiarity with working with bricks, stones, or concrete blocksMaintain:
Ability to keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized- Power tools: Proficiency in using various power tools such as sanders, drills, and saws
Caulking:
Skill in applying caulk to seal gaps or cracks in surfaces- Color theory: Understanding of how colors interact and complement each other in design
Remodeling:
