G&H Marine Inc. - Marine Construction Laborer Build Docks. Work Hard. Travel. Get Paid. G&H Marine has been building docks, marinas, seawalls, boathouses, and waterfront structures for over 30 years. We are looking for dependable people who aren't afraid of physical work, long days, and getting dirty.

Illinois and surrounding states Position Marine Construction Laborer Full-Time Monday-Friday (Overtime is Common) Read This Before You Apply This is not a warehouse job or a typical construction labor position. Our crews travel frequently. Many jobs are several hours from Decatur, requiring early mornings, long days, and occasional overnight travel. You'll work outdoors in the heat, cold, rain, mud, and around water. You'll lift heavy materials, carry lumber and steel, use power tools, and help build docks and marine structures from the ground up. If you're looking for an easy job, this isn't it. If you enjoy working hard, learning a trade, and being part of a crew that builds quality projects, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do Build and install docks, boat lifts, seawalls, and other marine structures Load, unload, and carry lumber, steel, aluminum, hardware, and equipment Operate hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, and construction equipment Perform demolition and assist with repairs and maintenance Maintain clean and safe job sites Follow directions from foremen and work safely as part of a crew Requirements You will not be considered if you do not meet these minimum requirements: Valid driver's license Reliable transportation to and from work Reliable attendance. No excuses. Able and willing to travel extensively Able to work overtime and long days when required Lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day Comfortable working outdoors and around water in all weather conditions Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Preferred, but not required: Construction experience Marine construction experience Equipment or forklift experience CDL What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience 401(k) with 4% company match after 90 days Health insurance after 60 days Paid Time Off Opportunity to learn a skilled trade with room for advancement Work on everything from residential docks to large commercial marina projects Attendance Matters We depend on every member of our crew.
