Job Description
We build high-end landscapes on the North Shore. Patios, walls, drainage systems, plantings, and full property renovations in Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka, Glencoe and the surrounding towns. Small company, small crews. We are looking for someone who shows up and wants to learn. 2+ years experience in landscaping or construction required. What you'll be doing Hardscape installation: paver patios and walkways, retaining walls, steps, base prep and compaction Drainage work: trenching, french drains, dry wells, downspout lines, grading
Planting:
trees, shrubs, perennials, sod and seed Site prep, demolition, and daily cleanup Running equipment: mini skid steer, excavator, plate compactor, saws. Loading and unloading trucks and trailers, keeping tools and materials organized What we're looking for Positive attitude 2+ years landscape construction experience Shows up on time, every day. This matters more to us than anything else on this list. Comfortable with physical work outdoors in heat, cold and rain Able to lift 60+ lbs repeatedly and stay on your feet all day Careful around finish work, we do premium jobs and details get noticed Valid driver's license Works well on a small crew and communicates when something's wrong Preferred, not required Experience with pavers, walls, or drainage systems Ability to read a landscape plan Equipment experience: mini skid steer, skid steer, compaction equipment Bilingual English/Spanish Any relevant certifications or coursework What we offer Overtime paid at time and a half Paid holidays and paid sick time Training on equipment and installation methods: we teach, and you'll leave here knowing more than you came in with Real advancement. Crew leads come from inside. Schedule Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM start out of our Evanston yard. Some Saturdays during peak season. Season typically runs March through early December, with snow work available over the winter for anyone who wants it.Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per weekBenefits:
