Job Description

A Construction Laborer performs a variety of physical tasks on construction sites to support skilled tradespeople and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. This role involves manual labor, use of tools and equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up materials Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment Operate basic hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, jackhammers) Support skilled workers such as carpenters, electricians, and masons Dig trenches, backfill holes, and compact earth Erect and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures Follow instructions from supervisors and project managers Maintain cleanliness and safety of the job site Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required protective equipment
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in construction, or related labor-intensive work is an asset. Ability to lift heavy objects (typically up to 50 lbs.) and stand for extended periods. Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation. Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Commitment to safety and teamwork.
