Operator / Construction Helper

Hallmark Builders & Homes Services is a growing construction and site prep company serving regional contracts with a nationwide vendor. As well as ongoing land leveling and concrete prep work in the Indianapolis, Indiana metropolitan area. We need reliable, hardworking helpers who are ready to learn and grow with us. You'll start as part of a small crew supporting land leveling, site preparation, and installation. The goal is for you to get comfortable enough to eventually run installs independently or with minimal supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:

Operate or assist with skid steer and track loader for land leveling, grading, and site prep (bringing in topsoil, terracing yards, etc.) Help install land improvements such as decks, gazebos, fencing, pergolas, premanufactured sheds, above-ground pools.

General construction labor:

concrete prep, burying conduit/drainage, moving materials, and whatever else the job site needs that week Work on new home lots doing quick backyard leveling for builders who close fast and skip full landscaping Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized This is outdoor physical work in all weather. Expect long days when we're busy, but it's consistent work with room to advance quickly.

What We're Looking For:

Experience with skid steer, track loader, or similar heavy equipment is a big advantage (this is what sets good candidates apart) Willingness to learn pool installation — it's repetitive and gets fast with practice Reliable transportation and a good work ethic (showing up on time every day matters) Ability to work as part of a small crew and take direction Physical fitness — lots of lifting, digging, and being on your feet Bonus if you already know basic concrete prep or underground utility work We're hiring two helpers right away for reliability and backup. For the first season a foreman will be on site for most installs, training you directly. The right guys will grow into running their own crews over time.
