Join Our Team as a Construction Assistant Nex-Tech is seeking a hardworking and dependable Construction Assistant to support field construction activities. This entry-level role assists with cable installation, equipment operation, and general construction tasks to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and wants to build a career in telecommunications or construction.
What You'll Do:
Assist with installation and splicing of cable systems Operate trenching, digging, and construction equipment Support maintenance and repair of buried and aerial plant Maintain and restore job sites and right-of-way areas Clean, stock, and maintain vehicles and equipment Work closely with team members to complete construction projects
What You Bring:
Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical labor Basic knowledge of construction practices (or willingness to learn) Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong teamwork and communication skills Attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to operate or learn construction equipment Valid driver's license (ability to obtain CDL required shortly after hire)
Education & Experience:
Required:
