JOB SUMMARY
This is a full-time position with the City of Paris. Selected applicant will be eligible for health, vision, and dental benefit plans, as well as supplemental policies through American Fidelity. Selected applicant will be required to participate in the Kentucky Public Pension Plan after a six-month probation. Rate of pay will be $15.89-$17.27 based upon experience. Additional compensation will be considered for employees that demonstrate selected skills that will be shared during the interview process.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general direction of Crew Leader, Foreman, or Superintendent, will perform work associated with the maintenance and upkeep of all City property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cuts weeds, trims trees and bushes. Plants, waters, rakes and mows grass. Fills and cuts up trees. Breaks up, removes and repairs sections of pavement. Mixes mortar. Fills holes with patching materials. Tamps and rolls patches. Loads and unloads rock, blacktop, construction materials from trucks. Cleans ditches, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, catch basins and culverts. Paints, replaces street signs and markings. Shovels snow, gravel and dirt, Cleans and maintains trucks, equipment and tools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Drivers License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for an extended period of time, walk and stand; talk or hear. Use hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms. Operate heavy equipment that produce vibrations, perform repetitive movements of hands or wrist crouch crawl. Have the ability to move safely over uneven terrain. Must be able to wear personal protective gear correctly during the entire shift.
